I wanted to paint a image that showed a organic UFO crashing into the sea. I am fascinated by british science fiction films especially the quatermass and the pit. I am working on a personal project to paint scenes from the Quatermass in the Pit. This painting was basically a warm up before i start work on those images. This started off as a matte painting I had some help from the Matte Painting Forum. I realised that i had done more of a concept painting than a matte. I have never painted a sea scape before and found it really hard. But i do this for my own enjoyment not for a art director.
